As we prepare our Kickstarter campaign to bring the D40 into it's final shape made of proper material and accessible to EDH players everywhere, we'd like to ask that anyone interested in hearing the progress of the campaign (as in when it starts, when it's funded, and updates on personal shipment) would join our mailing list. New Phase

Closed Beta prototypes have all been sent out. We're bringing you along on our journy and currently we are making changes based on feedback. Our next batch will include different sizes of which we'd like everyone's opinion, not to mention we will have all 5 main colors represented in our future prototypes.

Along this progression we've had some excellent feedback from both our Alpha and Beta testers. Numbers are now all facing the same direction, the seam will no longer be noticeable, edges have been updated to include a similar angle across the middle portion and we will be making sure that all numbers are filled with a different colored paint.

We have a few additional prototype ideas (see below) which we are printing to see if they are viable at all.

 We plan to continue getting feedback throughout this process and will be looking for those interested in a Charlie Limited Release of more 3D printed versions intent to get more feedback about size and weight. We'll have more colors to choose from. We are going to start asking for between $12 and $35 for the different sizes.

Our goal is to foster an atmosphere of collaboration and we know that we cannot get the 40 sided spindown to all potential users ourselves, and so we are asking for your help. Our Kickstarter will be going live in the next week or two and those who bring in 5 new backers will receive exclusive access to a limited run version. Please continue to raise awareness so our final product can become a reality soon.

Closed Beta Announcement

We received feedback from dedicated gamers from literally coast to coast and with the information provided from our Alpha Testers, we are pleased to begin the next step in the product development process. Currently we are still having to use rough prototypes for testing as the cost of creating an imperfect mold would be too great, and we ask continued patience with these prototype spindowns.

Patent Update

Today we received the mailed copy for our officially Patent-Pending status of the spindown 40 sided die. It was a long and painful process but ultimately pretty awesome to be proud owners of something we want for our own future games.

D40 Testers Wanted!

That's right. We are looking for some enterprising gamers to help us create a fantastic Commander staple. We've created and submitted patent paperwork for our 40 sided spindown polyhedral die. It's NOT a full on product yet. It requires your help, if you are willing, to fine tune the angles, digits, size, feel, and utilization, join our "Alpha Squad".

We are very excited to introduce even this "Alpha Version" of the D40, and are looking for those willing to get a first look at the product to be. Those who are interested, please email MaxStatsHelp@gmail.com for coordination in the D40 handoff. Once you have used the prototype, it's yours to keep. Your input will be confidential, but invaluable to helping make the best product possible. After we have sufficient input on the changes we need to make and have made those changes, we'll be launching our KickStarter and providing the address to anyone who wishes to be on the mailing list.

Some KickStarter rewards will include the 1st Edition Versions, Different Colored Dice, as well as Limited Edition Runs. However there will be no other opportunity to join the "Alpha Squad" Testers Association (ASTA sounds really official eh? We thought so).  If you would like to join the mailing list, just give a quick email to MaxStatsHelp@gmail.com and we'll add you to our update list (we will never spam your account, but will only provide updates to the dice and the timeline.

With your help we could potentially get the final product in your hands within a few months. We don't want to spoil our timeline just yet, but suffice to say that we'll be pressing this forward as fast as possible.
